At the City of Bangor International Chess Club, we have qualified chess teachers capable of teaching chess from scratch. We also have Advanced Coaches who are hired on a one-by-one basis (paid private tutoring) for players seeking advanced mentoring. Chess coaches are multi-award winning chess champions drawn from our pool of Club Masters and costs range from £20 to £30 an hour, depending on the level and experience of the chess coach.
Throughout the season on specific club nights, we hold free group coaching sessions in small groups and we also deliver free demo board lectures for the entire club. We started a YouTube channel in Spring 2024 to archive our lecture series here:
